How does New Orleans Senior Advisor source its facts?

Every regulatory statement cites the section of LAC 48:I.Chapter 68 or the agency page it comes from; cost figures come from CareScout's 2025 Louisiana release; population figures from Census Bureau Vintage 2025 estimates; VA and Medicaid spousal figures from VA rate tables and CMS's 2026 bulletin.

What will New Orleans Senior Advisor not publish?

We do not publish figures we cannot trace to a primary source, facility details that are not in the state's or CMS's data, reviews, testimonials, or ratings of our own.

  • No New Orleans-specific cost median: CareScout's Louisiana release publishes statewide medians only.
  • No memory care median: CareScout does not survey memory care.
  • No assisted living ratings: neither Louisiana nor CMS rates ARCPs, and we will not invent a score.
  • No list of dementia programs: LDH receives the disclosures but does not publish them.
  • No facility details from marketing copy or operator websites.

How often is the directory updated?

The directory is regenerated from LDH's monthly Licensed Providers Report (currently October 2026), LDH's location directory (retrieved October 31, 2026) and CMS's Provider Information dataset (data as of October 1, 2026) whenever the fetch script is rerun.

Each listing page shows its source and data date. Page dates in our sitemap change only when a page's content actually changes.

How does New Orleans Senior Advisor handle CMS star ratings?

We show CMS's ratings exactly as CMS publishes them, labelled as CMS ratings with the data date, only for nursing homes CMS certifies.

Comparisons on our facility pages, such as whether a home's staffing hours are above the local median, are simple arithmetic on the published figures, and each one states what it is compared against. ARCP capacities and levels are reproduced as LDH types them on its directory; where LDH leaves a field blank, so do we.

How do I request a correction?

Email advisors@neworleanssenioradvisor.com with the page and the correction; providers may request corrections to how their license data is displayed, but the underlying data comes from LDH and CMS, so changes to it must be made with those agencies.

We correct errors promptly. Reader corrections about Louisiana rules or benefit amounts are checked against the rule or agency page before we change anything.
